About Karralika Programs
Karralika Programs is looking for a Justice Services Program Manager to lead our dedicated team in the ACT that support people through evidence-based group and individual interventions to address and reduce harms related to substance use and associated criminogenic behaviours. The Manager has the responsibility for the culture and performance of the team and the quality of services and support provided to our clients.
This role is a unique opportunity to drive service excellence, enhance clinical governance, and provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary teams, and will involve working within the Alexander Maconochie Centre (Canberra’s prison) and in the community.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing multidisciplinary team, including case managers and counsellors who work with clients and partner agencies
- Overseeing program operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks
- Driving continuous quality improvement, embedding evidence-based practices, and leading change management initiatives
- Developing and managing partnerships, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery
- Representing Karralika Programs in external forums, contributing to strategic planning and policy development
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on program performance, ensuring service standards are met and outcomes are achieved
To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field, along with solid experience in management or senior clinical roles within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or related sector.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience in working therapeutically with adults, children, young people, and families and/or experience in working with people connected to the justice system
- Leadership and Management qualification and/or experience
- Clinical case review and incident debrief experience
- Strong understanding of best practice AOD treatment services, including trauma-informed and family-inclusive approaches

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Working With Vulnerable People Check and a Police Check
- A valid Driver’s Licence; and
- Be eligible to undertake Security Awareness Training (clearance) to work in the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC, Canberra’s jail).
